About Us

My name is Ruth Grigg.  I'm a specialist Dyslexia tutor and coach.

I have been working as a tutor since 2015, and have worked with a variety of students, with various needs, in homes, and in schools.  I work one-to-one, in small groups, or online.  I also offer self-paced video lessons in Phonics, Reading and Spelling, also in Grammar and Punctuation.

I  am qualified with a BA Honours in Integrated Childhood Studies and Early Years Professional Status (or Early Years Teacher Status), with  20 years experience in a variety of Early Years and school settings, including working with children with special needs.  I hold a Teaching Certificate in Post-Compulsory Education (Further Education) and a Diploma in Dyslexia with Distinction.

Introduction

I also have a Distinction in TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) and have 5 years experience of tutoring students  (1 to 1),  with children with dyslexia, ADHD, Asperger's Syndrome, Down's Syndrome, and English as a Second Language.

I can help to meet your children's needs, by providing them with online, tailored tutoring programmes, weekly group tuition sessions, and or

one-to-one lessons.   I can help your child gain confidence and new skills in English, reading, spelling and phonics and grammar and punctuation,  so they are able to progress in their educational journey.

There is also a video coaching programme for parents of children with Dyslexia and/or special needs, to help parents handle their child's difficulties at home and school, and guide them through their schooling and educational years.  There includes a community group

and a personalised coaching session.
