About Us

Introduction

My name is Ruth Grigg.  I'm a specialist Dyslexia tutor and coach.

I have been working as a private tutor since 2015 , and have worked with a variety of students, with various needs, in homes and in schools.

I  am qualified with a BA Honours in Integrated Childhood Studies and Early Years Professional Status (or Early Years Teacher Status), with  20 years experience in a variety of settings, including working with children with special needs.  I hold a Teaching Certificate in Post-Compulsory Education (Further Education) and a Diploma in Dyslexia with Distinction.

I also have a Distinction in TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) and have 5 years experience of tutoring students  (1 to 1),  with children with dyslexia, ADHD, Asperger's Syndrome, Down's Syndrome, and English as a Second Language.

I can help to meet your children's needs, by providing them with online, tailored tutoring programmes.   I can help your child gain confidence and new skills in English, reading, spelling and phonics and grammar and punctuation,  so they are able to progress in their educational journey.

I can provide coaching for children and teens, either one-to-one or in or in small groups.  Coaching will enable and empower children to become resilient, overcome poor self-confidence and self-esteem, overcome limiting beliefs about themselves and their abilities, and so much more.

There is also a video coaching programme for parents of children with Dyslexia and/or special needs, to help parents handle their child's difficulties at home and school, and guide them through their schooling and educational years.  There includes a community group

and two,  personalised coaching sessions.
